What is this test? Complete Blood Count (CBC) or Complete Blood Picture (CBP) is a group of tests that evaluates the status of the circulating blood cells (including the Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells and Platelets) in the body. This test is routinely performed to screen or diagnose various conditions that can affect blood cells. Blood sample is drawn from the vein in the arm. Test instructions Fasting- Not required. Alcohol- Please abstain from alcohol before the test. Medication- Any pre-existing medication should only be stopped after consultation with the referring Physician. Reports Soft Copy (Portal/Email): If the sample is collected before 12 noon then the report will get delivered as per Reporting Time / Maximum TAT (Turn Around Time) indicated with the test. For samples collected after 12 Noon, 12 hours may be added to the Report Turn Around Time. Hard Copy: Delivered at home upon request. A small convenience fee may apply. Why is it Done? As a part of routine health test.For monitoring general health status.To screen, diagnose and monitor various conditions like anemia, infection, inflammation, bleeding disorders and cancer etc. that affect blood cells. Too monitor effectiveness of treatment when a person is taking medicines known to affect blood cells. Any increase or decrease in the value of the test results may indicate an underlying medical condition and will require further evaluation.
Cancellation Policy
