What is this test? Uric Acid - Serum test measures the level of Uric acid in blood. Blood sample is drawn from the vein in the arm. Test instructions Fasting- Not required. Alcohol- Please abstain from alcohol before the test. Medication- Any pre-existing medication should only be stopped after consultation with the referring Physician. Reports Soft Copy (Portal/Email): If the sample is collected before 12 noon then the report will get delivered as per Reporting Time / Maximum TAT (Turn Around Time) indicated with the test. For samples collected after 12 Noon, 12 hours may be added to the Report Turn Around Time. Hard Copy: Delivered at home upon request. A small convenience fee may apply. Why is it Done? This test is usually advised in the following conditions (a) Joint pain or swelling to rule out or diagnose gout (a disease affecting joints) (b) Chemotherapy or radiation treatment to monitor treatment related complications (c) Check kidney function and diagnose kidney disorders (d) Find the cause of kidney stones
Cancellation Policy
